A little Q&A to get to know me better
Do you remember how, as kids, we used to make those little ”friendship books” — carefully crafting questions, decorating the pages, and waiting eagerly to see how our classmates would answer?
I believe we all need to hold on to that inner child, no matter how grown-up or professional we become. So, here’s my version of that notebook — just a little way for us to get to know each other better.
How did it all begin?
I’ve always been a philologist at heart, drawn to languages and stories. Along the way, photography became my way of giving stories a new voice. I write, I photograph, I communicate — through words and through images. My studies in language and literature, my professional experience in philology, brand communication and marketing, and my constant desire to learn have shaped me as a person and as a professional who seeks meaning, beauty, and authenticity in everything. So, for my birthday one year, I decided to give myself a birthday gift — a photography course. The rest is history. Art is a daily necessity for me, and creating — my way of being.
Do I plan shots, or chase moments?
Both. The first step is the idea, the second – intuition. The best photographs happen somewhere in between. I truly believe in spontaneity because that’s where the magic lives. For instance, if I’m at event I will always chase honest and heartful moments.
What emotion do I most often try to capture?
Honesty. That unfiltered, real moment that feels truly you. The real energy of the person is something I always notice that others usually miss.
Five words that describe me best (outside and inside of photography)?
Curious. Empathetic. Persistent. Artistic. Brave.
Cats, dogs—or wild animals?
I live with three adopted (formerly stray) dogs. But my heart goes out to every living creature.
What is my favourite lens?
It’s the 28–75mm f/2.8 — a true all-rounder. I love it because it gives me flexibility without sacrificing quality. Whether I’m shooting portraits, products, interiors, or spontaneous street moments, it adapts beautifully. It’s fast, sharp, and lets me move freely without constantly changing lenses — which means I can stay present, connected, and focused on telling the story in front of me.
What’s a random hobby that brings me joy?
Dancing salsa and practicing yoga. Both keep me present, grounded and full of energy. Movement, just like photography, is another language — and dancing express things words (and even images) sometimes can’t.
What does collaborating with me look like?
Relaxed, friendly, and tailored to you. I’m precise and organized, and I truly respect time and effort — both mine and yours. Whether you’re camera-shy or a natural in front of the lens, I’ll guide you gently and make sure you feel comfortable. We’ll talk, brainstorm, and create together — but you won’t have to worry about technical stuff or results.
Which languages can we communicate in?
Serbian, English, or Italian — whichever you’re most comfortable with. Don’t worry, we’ll understand each other perfectly — especially through visuals.
What type of photography do you enjoy the most?
Street and event photography. I would also like to explore more about documentary photography. As you can notice from my portfolio, I’m open to different fields and collaborations as I grow and learn every day, both as a professional and as a human.
